Our story
It started with one cup.
Some things carry more than tea. They carry the people who held them before us.
Many years ago, Cecelia’s grandmother Ada fell in love with a set of teacups. She couldn’t afford them all at once, so she saved and bought one at a time until she had the full set.
Decades later, one cup arrived on Cecelia’s doorstep. It had been gifted to a cousin when her grandfather died, then passed on again. In that cup were beauty, memory, and love—and from that love, Ada’s Tea Cup was born.

Meet Cecelia.
I’m Cecelia Curtis, tea lover and founder of Ada’s Tea Cup.
My love for tea began when I lived in Japan more than 15 years ago and has grown into an appreciation for teas from around the world.
Life has taken me through many seasons—as a military spouse, a mom to three boys, a friendship podcast host, and now a tea company founder. Through it all, I’ve come to appreciate what a simple cup of tea can create: a little space to slow down, connect, and be present.
With ourselves. With the people we love. With the moments we might otherwise rush past.
